To be relieved from the debt burden, please make the following du'aas (for all du'aas, please listen to my Sunday Halaqa session on 17 September 2023
Du’aa No. 1

Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal ma-thami wal maghram

Meaning: O Allah! I seek your protection from sin and debt.

Read this du'aa before saying Salaam (in the last sitting) in every prayer. It was the practice of Rasulullah (pbuh).
Du’aa No. 2

Transliteration: Allahumma Malikal Mulk, Tutil Mulka man tasha u watanzi’ul Mulka mimman tasha u, wa tu’izzu man tasha u, watudhillu mahtasha u, biyadikal khayru innaka ‘ala kulli shai in Qadir. Rahmanad Dunya wal Akhirati tu’tihima man tasha u wa tamna’u minhuma man tasha u irhamni Rahmatan min ‘indik, tughni ni biha ‘an Rahmati man siwak.

Meaning: "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. (3:26) You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account." (3:27).

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said to Sayyiduna Mu'adh (radiyallahu anhu): "If you recite this du'a, even if it is equal to the mountain of Uhud, your debt will be paid."
Du’aa No. 3
In another narration, Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) is reported to have taught a similar dua to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radiyallahu anhu). (Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1 p. 515) In a narration by Ibn Abi Shayba, `Abdullah Ibn Thabit said: Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) himself used to recite these words and attach importance to them. (See the footnote of Shaykh 'Awwama in Ibn Nasirud Din's Majalis, page 201) The words are:

Transliteration: Allahumma Farijal hammi Kashifal ghammi Mujiba da’watil Mudtarrin, Rahmanad Dunya wal Akhirati wa Rahimahuma irhamnil yawma Rahmatan wasi’atan tughnini biha ‘ar Rahmati man siwak.

Meaning: O Allah! The Remover of Anxieties, the Remover of Sorrows, the Answerer of the Prayers of the Distressed, the Supreme Bestower of this life and the Hereafter and the Most Merciful among them, bestow upon me today such a great mercy that it will free me from the mercy of others.
Du’aa No. 4

Transliteration: 'Allahummak fini bi halalika an haramik  wa aghnini bi fadhlika amman siwak.’

Meaning: O Allah! Make it sufficient for me the lawful things which You have given me over the unlawful, and by Your grace keep me free from all but You.

It was narrated from Ali (RA) that a muqatib (who had contracted to free a slave) came to him and said: “I am unable to pay my obligations; Help me." He said: Shall I not tell you something that the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, taught me? And if you have a debt like the mountain of Siyar, Allah will repay it for you. Then he recites this du’aa.
Du’aa No. 5

Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal hammi wal hazan, wa a’udhu bika minal ‘ajzi wal kasl, wa a’udhu bika minal jubni wa bukhl, wa a’udhu bika min ghalabatid dayn wa qahrir rijal.

Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety and distress, and seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, and seek refuge in You from timidity and miserliness, and seek refuge in You from the domination of debt and the subjugation of people.

Note: This du’aa should be recited morning and evening. (Abu Dawud, Hadith 1550).

On the authority of Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered the mosque and saw an Ansari man named Abu Umamah. He said: O Abu Umama, why do I see you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time for prayer? He said: Worry and debt, O Messenger of Allah (PBUH)! He (PBUH) said: Shall I not teach you some words which, if you say them, Allah will remove your worries and pay your debts? He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. Then he (PBUH) said the above du’aa. He said: I did so, and Allah removed my anxiety and paid my debt. Narrated by Abu Dawud (1555).
Du’aa No. 6

Transliteration: La Hawla wala quwwata illa billah.

Meaning: There is no power nor strength except by Allah the Lofty, the Great.
Du’aa No. 7
Read Astaghfirullah (if possible, read Sayedul Isteghfar, every day after Fajr and after Isha prayer). Syedul Isteghfar as below:

Transliteration: Allahumma anta rabbi, La ilaha illah anta khalaqtani, wa ana ‘abduk, wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdik, wawa’dika mastata’tu, a’ujubika min sharri ma sana’tu, Abu’u laka bine’matika ‘alaiya, wa abu’u bajambee, faghfirli junubi, fa innahu laa yaghfiruzzunuba illah anta.

Meaning: Oh Allah! You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am your servant, and I adhere to your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in you from the evil of what I have done. I thank You for all Your blessings upon me, and I abstain from my sin, so forgive me my sins, for no one forgives sins except You.

If you struggle to read the above long du’aa, you simply keep repeating the following:

Transliteration: Astaghfirullah
Meaning: O Allah! Forgive me.
